ViaNett provides its customers with a simple method to send SMS messages from e-mail accounts to mobile phones using the SMTP API.
Requirements

The sender has to have a ViaNett SMS account with with available SMS credits. Please contact Customer Services if you don't have one.

Any email account (such as Gmail/Hotmail) or any SMTP client application.
How to send an SMS message from your email account to a mobile phone
The sender needs to add the following information to send and subject sections.
Address and Subject
To address

recipient-mobile-number@sms.vianett.no (In the address section, please enter the mobile phone number in international format of the person to whom you wish to send an SMS)

The descriptions of the subject fields are

Your ViaNett username (register a demo account if you wish to test)

Pricegroup in numeric format.

Campaign ID.

Message shall be written as Hi,+There,+this+is+a+test, i.e. in a URL-encoded format. |
Example
Open your own e-mail account, add the phone number you wish to send the SMS message to followed by @sms.vianett.no. Then in the subject section, please add your username and password (given to you by ViaNett) and followed by other information such as the message contents, e.g.:
To: 47xxxxxxxx@sms.vianett.no
Subject: username=myusername&password=mypassword&msg=Hi,+There,+this+is+a+test
